Every day and night, voices of thankfulness rise from around this world to God's listening ear: I am thankful ......
-For breathing. Just breathing.
-For a good night's sleep.
-For this fantastic book I'm reading.
- For the gift of my child.
-For my bowl of rice.
-For my glasses and hearing aids.
-For that great game.
-For my meds, which keep me from being clinically depressed.
-For my job. It's a good job, but mostly I'm just thankful for a job.
-For my husband/wife. I looked for someone right for so long...
-For the sunrise. Did you look? See how beautiful it was?
-For getting out of bed. I just had surgery and it felt like a miracle.
-For our house. This is our first house.
-For this clean apartment. The last one had bed-bugs. Nasty!
-For my period. I was afraid I was pregnant.
-For not having a period. Yeah - I'm pregnant!!!
-For my new puppy. I just buried the dog I'd had for thirteen years. I was so lonely...
-For my friends. With all my troubles this year, I don't know how I could have made it through without them.
-For the vacation we just had. I hadn't relaxed in so long.
-That my Mom with dementia remembered my name today.
-That I stopped for morning coffee. Boy, I needed that jolt - pumpkin spice.
-That I found the right shade of red/blue/white/green/ for my bedroom.
-That my son/daughter got accepted into a great college.
-That my daughter found the perfect wedding dress.
-That the bullet missed my heart.
-That my son made it home in time to say "goodbye" to his grand-father.
-That my last kid is finally toilet-trained!!!!
-That my arthritis wasn't too bad today.
-That the tumors shrank.
-That we made it safely to the Refugee Camp.
-That I have a date for my Prom.
-That my Ex and I are finally able to talk without yelling.
-That I got through a day without crying.
-That my son came back from Iraq.
-That my nieces and nephews bring such joy to my life.
-That I believe in Heaven.
-That I have faith. What would I do without faith. Jesus, what would I do without you?
"You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in Your Presence, the delights in Your right hand forever." (Psalm 16:11)
